Cowboys in Thailand? Visit the SN Farm near Ban Krut

Did you think, there are no cowboys in Thailand? Okay, there are quite a lot of cows, but not many horses, even less cowboys. And you won't find them in the infamous Soi Cowboy in Bangkok.

The SN Farm next to the border of Myanmar is a paradise for horses. On 2'000 Rai Land, around 200 horses live almost free in the nature. Wouldn't there be exotic trees, you'd think your in the Wild West of America. And there are even cowboys herding the animals.

Horses have been present in South Asia from at least the middle of the second millennium BC, more than two millennia after its domestication in Central Asia, the home of the famous Gengis Khan.

There are several breeds enjoying wildlife, but mostly arabians, one of the oldest in the world.

The Farm is private, but, with appointment, it's possible to have a look inside, stay overnight and, of course, make a horseback ride. And it's getting famous, even the Voice TV Channel came lately to film.
